What better place to watch the sun set than the mountains?

Drive up the West Ridge Forest Service Road in the Premier Range of the Cariboo Mountains to the Lookout, where you can hike up to a special rock outcropping with a view of Valemount, the surrounding mountains and Kinbasket Lake.  Look for the bright orange flagging tape to signal the Lookout trail.  Follow the directions for the West Ridge Loop, and stop at the "Lookout" sign.

Drive up Hillside Road to our local TV towers, where you can park and watch the sun go down from the lower elevations of the Selwyn Range in the Canadian Rockies.  Follow the directions for McKirdy Meadows (5 Mile), and stop at the TV Towers.

Take a drive along the East Canoe Forest Service Road, stop at the Km 10 sign and get cozy on the beach at Kinbasket Lake, nestled between all three of our mountain ranges.

Enjoy a Romantic Dinner

Make a reservation for a quiet table for two at The Caribou Grill Restaurant where you can wine and dine your sweetie.  Or experience the cool evening air and rush of the Fraser River on the patio at the Riverside Cafe in Tete Jaune Cache.  There are some very romantic places to dine in Valemount.  Go to our restaurant listings to choose something special.
